Mentoring Program

North Las Vegas Center Ring Boxing Club, Inc. (The Club) began informally in 1994, in a garage, by a group of men who saw the need in the community for positive male role models for youths in high-risk neighborhoods.  The Club was incorporated in 1995 and became a 501(C) (3) in 1997.  It has been supported by donations, the majority of which has been provided by the original Board of Directors, to provide for youths from all over Clark County, ages 8 to 18 with positive opportunities.  The Club is a member of the USA Amateur Boxing Association and the Nevada Boxing Association and is recognized by other affiliated clubs around the country.

The services we provide are: 1) Tutoring:  Youth must do homework and they receive help with low academic skills.  2)  Club membership:  By participating youths learn about community responsibility, positive alternatives to violence, competition regulations. It also provides a forum to bring problems and solutions to develop positive life skills. 3) Training & competition: Provides discipline, commitment, concentration and physical development 4) Mentoring: Adults as well as peers participate in mentoring.  The mentored have an opportunity to become the mentors

We have a one year contract and are looking to work with youth who have been charged with or on probation for:

1)   Weapons Charges

2)   Assault or Battery

3)   Gang Affiliation
